Many years ago, I met Andy Baer when I worked at Wal-Mart Distribution Center. He moved several of my tool boxes for me over the years and towed trucks to my shop . If you know Andy, you know what a great, hardworking man he is. I got to know Andy over the years, and we talked about towing a lot. Years later, when he said he wanted to sell Andy's Wrecker, I thought it a great opportunity to continue my interest in towing. My first interest in towing happened in high school. My friend Michael Lilly 's dad had a towing business and I would ride around with him on tows. After that I moved to Emporia and started working at Flint Hills Towing in Emporia, Ks. We ended up moving to Ottawa in 2005. I started working at Wal-Mart D.C. and that's when I met Andy. I always wanted to own my own towing business but due to knowing several of the other tow companies in Ottawa, I didn't want to compete with already established businesses, so I never started a towing business. With this opportunity presented to me by Andy in 2021, I thought it was perfect to continue the legacy that is Andy's Wrecker. Andy's has been in business since 1975, and I knew I had big shoes to fill. I hope I continue to fill these shoes and continue to provide the public with the same great service Andy did the last 40 plus years. At Andy's Wrecker & Repair we want to thank our customers for their loyal support in 2023. We hope to continue that into 2024. Thank you for your continued support, and have a Happy New Year!
