Recirculating door on a 3rd Generation Dodge Ram. The plastic shaft had stripped out. In the summer months as many know, it’s best to run your a/c on Recirculation. But if the door doesn’t work, the a/c doesn’t work very well 🙃 and of COURSE you have to pull the dash back to access the actuator… but all in all, easy job! I had scheduled work off for next week in order to have some time to clean up, and organize the shop, much needed!!

Sorry the page has been a bit dead lately!! I’ve been a bit busy! I’ve been slacking on taking pictures and videos for you all. And I apologize for that! I am overwhelmed with the amount of support you all have given me, and for that, THANK YOU!! So many opportunities to learn and I’ve had my fair share of mistakes. At the end of each day, I really feel like I did my best to do the right thing. I’m not perfect, and never will be. I will never be the best mechanic nor the fastest, or cheapest… I do my best to provide a quality service for an affordable price. Some days I feel like too many people see the dollars that could be coming in, but don’t see what goes out 😉 thank you all for keeping me motivated each day to power through the tough bits!! Oil changes turn into brake jobs, front end shakes have turned into transmission replacements, a check engine light can turn into a 10hr job… this career is wildly unpredictable as to what will roll through the door next!!

This is the kind of 💩 that makes mechanics hair turn grey faster than the average person. The rear fuel tank strap was rusted in half on this 2005 Dodge 2500. The rear strap fit perfect 👌🏻 the front strap…. Coming up a bit short. Order another kit and hope that one is the correct length. I’ve checked my numbers twice, I ordered the right kit, and they sent what I had ordered. The joys of installing parts 🙂

Let’s have a quick chat about oil filter/oil change quality.. this is not a post to tell you to do it, but rather showcase, maybe sometimes a few extra dollars doesn’t hurt. This oil filter came from a 2.4L ecotec, with almost 6,000 miles on an oil change. Most cheaper filters I see come through are completely collapsed. I had a BMW with a locked up motor, I pulled the oil filter and in under 4,000 miles it had completely collapsed and started to disintegrate. I ended up spinning the motor backwards (which is kind of a no no) then forwards. Changed oil, put a quality filter and oil in it and as far as I know, they’re still driving it to this day! So with all that being said I am NOT the cheapest guy around. I will NOT be the cheapest guy around. Every day I have the opportunity to learn more and apply that knowledge to YOUR vehicles. I’ve been blessed to be incredibly busy, and that has absolutely screwed my scheduling process up. But a very good problem to have. I’m grateful for all my understanding and kind customers, and every new one that walks through the door. You guys make this all worth it! THANK YOU!!

2016 BRP Can Am 1000 Renegade. Texted me with the complaint of a no start. Well it started and drove on the trailer, it drove off the trailer. I drove it around town and at first, no issues. Then I pull it in to code scan it, I bumped the fender which made the dash go crazy. I wiggled the fuse box with the atv running, and it died. Confirmed several times. One by one started messing with wires until I found THE wire. I cannot get the terminal to fix it in a timely manner, so I soldered the terminal to the wire, installed heat shrink and verified it lo longer does funky stuff!! Easy fix, and definitely the best way to end a mechanics day 🙂 now the customer can enjoy their toy over this holiday weekend 😃
