What started as a delamination/water damge issue turned into a bit more than just a simple repair. Flex in the wall by the slide later became bad enough that it caused a buckle tear in the fiberglass that would expand up to 1/4" depending on the weight of the pin box. The culprit was all the aluminum wall support welds broke from the frame that bolts to the steel 5th wheel chassis. We also found 5 broken welds on the steel chassis side as well. We added 3 steel gussets to the frame as well as welding shut any open steel channel to strengthen the frame, and did the same to the aluminum wall supports making the frame alot stronger vs how it left the manufacturer!

Carpenter ants and water damage do not mix well. But we gave this camper a clean bill of health!

This unit came in for an inspection, and we found some water damage. The cause of the damage?Lack of Sealant where the drivers cab meets the house portion right above the driveshaft. So since new, anytime it drove in the rain, the driveshaft tossed water directly into the floor.Thats not all that was missing. This unit had no caulk around anything that was held on with screws like the awning, roof line strips, windows, slide seals, and doors! But we got this unit all sealed up, fixed and back on the road.

Its not often that we see this, but it can happen! This client was in for completely unrelated repairs when we kept smelling propane when we walked by the unit. After spraying all fittings and connections down and finding zero leaks, we turned our attention to the tank itself. We found a pin hole leak where the manufacturer welded the data tag to the tank.

One of the biggest problems you can have on a travel trailer is water damage from bad roof Sealant. Luckily for this client we love doing water damage Restorations! Have a large insurance claim that you're not sure how to handle? Reachout to us! This unit unfortunately suffered a double tire blowout on the same side that resulted in it getting pulled into a ditch causing significant structural damage throughout the whole unit. This unit was unfortunately totaled, but we helped handle the claim as well as scheduling with the salvage yard to pick up the unit and give this client 1 less headache to deal with.
