We've been featured in Tow Industry Week!

We're proud to see Diversified Towing & Recovery featured in this week's Tow Industry Week / American Towman for one of our recent heavy-duty recoveries.

The article, “Keeping 44,000 Pounds of Salt on the Trailer,” takes a closer look at how our team recovered a severely damaged pneumatic trailer while keeping approximately 44,000 pounds of food-grade salt on board.

Instead of unloading the cargo along the interstate, our crew used the right combination of equipment, planning, and experience to stabilize the trailer and safely move it off the highway — helping reduce roadside exposure while keeping the customer's costs in mind.

Part two of this off-road recovery. The driver decided to unhook the trailer, so once we finished recovering the trailer, we had to go another 1/2 mile to retrieve the semi.

Once we got to the truck, we used our winch box to spin the truck around in the roadway, then winched it back 3/4 of a mile to the gravel road.

With all the heavy rain we've been getting, muddy roads can turn bad fast. If you find yourself stuck in the mud, don't make it worse trying to get yourself out. Give Diversified Towing a call.

We were called by law enforcement to recover a loaded truck and trailer from the median on I-80 near mile marker 82.

Once emergency responders safely assisted the driver out of the vehicle, we assessed the situation with traffic management and determined that the safest approach was to perform the recovery after 6 PM.

We brought in Iowa Plains Signing to assist with traffic control, ensuring the safety of our recovery team and passing motorists throughout the operation.

Recoveries like this are a reminder that there's more to the job than just a simple hook and pull. Every recovery requires careful planning, coordination, and a commitment to safety.

This is just one of the many off-road recoveries we've handled over the last few weeks! With our current weather patterns bringing plenty of rain to Iowa, our off-road recovery team has been busy.

If you find yourself stuck in the mud, don't unhook your trailer and drive farther down a level B road. It only adds to the cost and difficulty of recovery.

We safely recovered both the truck and trailer.

After heavy rain softened the ground, a loaded tractor-trailer left the roadway near our Commerce Road location and quickly found itself sunk into the mud. Our crew brought in the heavy-duty equipment, worked around nearby obstacles, and safely pulled the unit back onto solid ground. After a final inspection, the truck was able to roll out under its own power.

Big shoutout to our recovery team for getting the job done safely, efficiently, and without backing down from the rain and mud!

When other towing providers think “customer service” means drop them at the nearest exit and call it a day, Diversified Towing & Recovery believes the job isn't finished until our customer and their equipment are in a safe place. 😉

Recently, we received a call for an oversize load weighing approximately 115,000 pounds and measuring 12 feet wide, stranded along I-80 Westbound near mile marker 78. The driver and company needed to get the truck and load to a truck stop near mile marker 40 in Avoca, Iowa.

Now, a load that size and length isn't exactly something you can just pull onto an exit ramp and forget about. The driver and company were concerned about safety and needed the truck and load moved to a secure area so repairs could be made.

That's where Diversified Towing came in.

We were hired to tow the truck and load to the truck stop, where the company could get their truck repaired and the load secured. The company provided another truck to re-power the load so it could continue to its final destination in Texas.

And because we believe in actually taking care of our customers, the job didn't end at the truck stop.

They also hired Diversified Towing to take the disabled truck back up to the shop in Northern Minnesota, where they had just installed a turbo two weeks earlier.

115,000 pounds. 12 feet wide. A long way from home. And still, we didn't leave them hanging.

We're proud to have helped get this customer to safety and into a secure area when other towing companies refused the job.

Today, we ask all our friends, family, and followers to take a moment as we remember September 11th, 2001. Today marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of the day that forever changed America. The day that we all came together and showed the true strength of the American people. Today, may we remember and honor the countless lives lost, and the families who continue to carry the loss and grief for their loved ones. We ask you to remember the Firefighters, Police Officers, EMS Personnel, Military Members, and the everyday Americans who showed immense bravery and strength. Today we will remember and honor them all, and when tomorrow comes and every day after, may we NEVER forget.
