Took me a few days to decompress but,
Wow.. where do we even begin?
THANK YOU!
To everyone who came out to the very first Engines 4 Education Car Show, thank you for making this day one we'll never forget. Seeing such an incredible turnout - especially after having to reschedule because of the weather - meant so much to us! We had 22 pre-registered cars and ended up having a total of 46!!
This car show is held in memory of my dad, Bill Dalessandro. He spent so many summer weekends chasing car shows in his Scouts and being able to bring this event to life in his honor was something I had dreamed about. Watching everyone come together to celebrate, support and share in something he would have absolutely loved was truly special.
Because of all of you and our Volley in The Ville volleyball tournament we raise $8,000 dollars for the Bill Dalessandro Memorial Scholarship for Skilled Trades. That money will go directly toward helping a student(s) pursue further education in a career in the skilled trades - a legacy my dad would have been incredibly proud of.
A huge thank you to our amazing vendors:
- Smoke Catering Company
- 444 Hibachi Grill
- Munsey's Meats & More
- Bruce Vaughn - our DJ
Thank you to Orrville High School for allowing us to use your facilities and working with us through the rescheduling of both the volleyball tournament and car show.
To every volunteer who parked cars, worked registration, sold raffle tickets, T-Shirts and drinks - you kept everything running smoothly and we couldn't have done it without you!
Thank you to everyone who donated basket raffle items. Your generosity helped make our raffle such a success.
A special thank you to Serpentini Orrville for sponsoring all our event T-Shirts. We still have shirts available for purchase and any remaining inventory will be available again at next year's show!
And finally, thank you to my family - my mom, both of my brothers and their families. From planning for months, setting everything up, tearing everything down and standing beside me through it all - I love you.
To everyone who registered a vehicle, volunteered, donated, sponsored, bought a shirt, entered into the raffles, grabbed lunch or simply came out to support us, thank you for believing in this event and in the mission behind it.
We're already looking forward to doing it all again next year. We'll be announcing the 2027 date soon, so stay tuned.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us honor Dad in the best way we know how. 💛
