🚫 Skip the DIY A/C Recharge Bottles. Here’s Why.
We get it. They’re cheap, easy to find, and promise ice-cold A/C in minutes. But those recharge cans often create bigger (and more expensive) problems.
❄️ Your A/C system is designed to hold a specific amount of refrigerant. Too little OR too much can reduce cooling performance and even damage expensive components like the compressor.
🔍 If your A/C is low, that usually means there’s a leak. Simply adding more refrigerant doesn’t fix the problem, it only masks it temporarily.
⚠️ Many DIY recharge cans also contain sealants or additives that can damage professional A/C recovery and service equipment. Some shops may even refuse to work on systems contaminated with these products.
✅ The right way to service an A/C system is to:
• Recover and measure the existing refrigerant
• Leak test the system
• Repair the leak if needed
• Recharge it with the exact factory-specified amount
In the long run, doing it right is often cheaper than trying to fix damage caused by a quick DIY recharge.
If your A/C isn’t blowing cold, let us diagnose it correctly so you can stay cool all summer.
