We all know that being in a situation where you need roadside service is stressful, and uncomfortable at best. Here are a couple of things that can help make the process easier for everyone.
1. Know about your coverages, all insurance companies and motorclubs offer different levels of coverage know yours. This keeps you from being suprised about extra charges and overages.
2. Be aware of your surroundings, this helps keep you safe but it also helps you know where you are, this is extremly important when you're trying to give someone directions on how to find you.
3. Comunicate with everyone involved, some storage lots require signed releases as well as payment before they will release your car to a tow company.
4. Know your equipment. Does your car come with a spare tire? not all do. Does your car require the use of a tow pin? This should be somewhere near your spare tire, check for it before you need it, every cars pin is different so it's important to use the pin made for your car.
