Engineered Acoustics
If you know Revology, you know we’ve taken the restomod concept to an entirely new level. Our obsession with craftsmanship, vehicle dynamics, and functionality has driven us to develop modern closures, sealing systems, and electrical architecture—areas that are often overlooked in this segment. During the development of the new Boss 429 and Boss 302 models, we applied that same obsessive attention to detail to our Premium Audio system, and the result is nothing short of sensational.
To deliver the finest audio experience in the segment, we partnered with Harman Kardon, the renowned OEM supplier to BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, and many others. Working closely with the Harman Kardon engineering team, we developed and tuned an audio system specifically for the acoustic environment of the Revology 1969–70 Mustang fastback cabin.
Unlike modern vehicles, where premium audio systems are integrated from the earliest stages of vehicle development, incorporating high-end sound into a 1969–70 Mustang presents significant packaging and acoustic challenges. Reflective glass surfaces, asymmetrical seating positions, vibration, and road noise all affect sound quality. To overcome these limitations, the Harman Kardon team employed advanced digital signal processing (DSP) to optimize equalization, speaker timing, crossover settings, dynamic range, and surround sound performance specifically for this interior. The result is a balanced, refined listening experience engineered to perform consistently in one of the most challenging automotive acoustic environments imaginable.
We know some enthusiasts might say that with an engine as intoxicating as the 5.0L Ti-VCT “Coyote” V8, who needs an audio system? We understand the sentiment. But the reality is that when you own a car as rewarding to drive as a Revology Mustang, you drive it more—and that means long stretches on the highway become part of the experience. Those moments are the perfect opportunity to settle in and enjoy great music.
The owner of car #360—a black-on-black Revology 1969 Mustang Boss 429—understood exactly that, which is why he selected the new Harman Kardon Premium Audio system for his car.
