Regal Marine Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced CAD Engineer that is a motivated self-starter who has good attention to detail to join our team. The CAD Engineer will work with the Product Development Team, taking a project through the early conceptual phase, prototype development, and the introduction to manufacturing. This position will require performing the following duties and reports to the CAD & Documentation Team Leader.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain a focus in 3D modeling; FRP parts, upholstery substrates, cabinetry, mechanical systems & components, plumbing systems, laminate tolerances, and file management.
• The position will be responsible for the Master Model in Rhino 6.0 on all new boat systems and parts.
• Support the development of documentation for the respective engineer’s area of responsibility (i.e.. componentry layouts, routings, & assembly drawings)
• Identifies potential design issues in the early CAD development stages and resolves issues prior to plug and mold creation.
• Work strongly within established product scope, using Regal’s set design standards while being well versed in the industry capabilities, highlighting engineering manufacturability.
• Collaborate with vendors to create or modify new or existing purchased parts.
• Works in conjunction with the rest of the engineering team to ensure clear and precise communications.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field and at least 5-10 years of experience in the marine industry in a design capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience using 3D modeling programs, preferably Rhino or Siemens NX.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Must demonstrate a record of dependability and reliability with prior work experience.
• Hands-on experience with Fiberglass preferred.
• Boat building experience is a plus.

We are looking for an experienced Process Improvement Engineer to be responsible for the process design, operation, and implementation. The successful candidate will be able to improve industrial processes to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for analyzing current manufacturing processes and designing and implementing more efficient production lines and workstations.
• Collaborates with engineers and leadership to design cost-effective manufacturing layouts and building ergonomics for new product lines.
• Design, redesign, or enhances work areas and layouts so that awkward or uncomfortable positions, repetitive motions, and inefficient operations are reduced or eliminated.
• Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods and trends and developments in technology and equipment; applies this knowledge to maintain the organization's competitive edge.
• Identifies and assesses various problems and departures from established manufacturing standards and best practices; researches and recommends solutions.
• Develops and maintains management information, planning, and control systems.
• Implements methods and modifications to reduce production costs.

Qualifications

• Complete required Operator Standard Work daily.

• Must have at least 4 years of experience in Quality inspection in a manufacturing environment.
