Thrift Motorsports Announces $10,000 Top Sportsman Class at 33rd Annual Fueltech World Street Nationals

ORLANDO, FL – August 25th, 2026 – Thrift Motorsports, in conjunction with Orlando Speed World Dragway, is proud to announce its headlining sponsorship of the Top Sportsman class at the FuelTech World Street Nationals 33rd. This premier event, taking place November 12-15, 2026, will feature a $10,000 top prize for the Top Sportsman winner, with a required 16-car minimum field.

Known as the "grandfather" of major drag racing events, the World Street Nationals represents a pinnacle of street-legal and sportsman drag racing. The addition of the Thrift Motorsports Top Sportsman category, contested on the 1/8 mile, adds a prestigious new dimension to an already legendary weekend of competition.

“We are incredibly excited to bring this level of support to the Top Sportsman class at one of the most historic events on the racing calendar,” said a representative from Thrift Motorsports. “Our partnership with Orlando Speedworld Dragway for the World Street Nationals underscores our commitment to providing racers with top-tier competition and incredible opportunities.”

At BLP Racing Products, we're always excited to be part of unique, performance projects that showcase American manufacturing and innovation.

These throttle bodies were engineered and modified by BPM Racing Engines for Hayabusa (Busa) and Kawasaki ZX-14 applications. BLP was proud to be entrusted with manufacturing the custom billet throttle blades, built to BPM's exact specifications to ensure precise fit, function, and performance.

Projects like these demonstrate that while BLP is widely recognized for our carburetors and fuel system components, our precision CNC machining capabilities extend far beyond the racing fuel system. Whether it's a custom throttle blade, a specialized billet component, or a production machining project, we approach every part with the same commitment to quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship.
