Window Deflectors for the 6th Gen 4Runner are ready to go!

These are entirely outside the vehicle with now in channel elements to mess up your seal and use the same automotive grade 3M used to add the exterior TRD Badging so they are super solid!

For a right of the lot production vehicle it’s pretty cool to see the TRD PRO coming back heavily into the Baja/Desert runner category.

We get a lot of questions from people who are new to all this wondering which they should get between the TRD PRO and the TrailHunter. One of the guys at Toyota said it best. The TRD PRO is for going hard and fast…. The TrailHunter is for going long and far.

The TrailHunter is Toyotas solution for overlanders which have really gravitated towards the SR5 and the TRD Offroad in our experience because they just end up modding it all out for multi day camping.

The TRD PRO is perfectly capable of all of that, but something feels wrong about touching a perfectly capable and ready TRD PRO for some people. Honestly you can’t really go wrong with either, just good to know and understand the use cases that Toyota builds these with.

After our experience with both a couple weeks back we can honestly say, go with the one you want the most haha for most people they already have one they really want. You won’t be disappointed. But if you care a lot about keeping it stock or having it ready for exactly what you plan to do it’s good to know the TrailHunter is build SPECIFICALLY for trails and overlanding. The TRD PRO is build for desert running and a little speedier recreation though still perfectly capable off-road at distance.

We asked most of the group and maybe 7-8/10 something like that said the 4Runner was their favorite on this course. Now a few people including Mountain Yotas actually said the sequoia is their favorite and I have to say I completely see why.

For obvious reasons the 4Runner and Tacoma had huge advantages on a course like this but the sequoia was shocking how well it handled on this course.

If you were getting a 2027 TRD PRO which one would you get and why? 👇

Noticeably these are 2 wheel drive only in Europe but this one on display has a 4Hi/4Lo transfer case, solid rear axle with a locking differential and it’s lifted!

This was brought to be displayed by Toyota themselves so it appears that they are testing the waters for a US market for these as off-road use only vehicles!

In other countries this things sell in the $15,000 ballpark, crazy affordable for what they offer. Naturally if they were to come as capable as this one on display we expect it would be higher starting in the US, but still a very affordable barebones off-road vehicle.

We suspect Toyota is testing the market response to seeing this one to gauge interest in bringing one to the market, honestly we aren’t sure if it will happen or not but would love to see one make its way here.

If Toyota did bring this to the US, would you buy one?
