One thing we're seeing across the industry is just how much more important proper diagnostics have become. Modern cars and trucks have more electronic systems and sensors than ever, which means finding the actual cause of a problem matters just as much as the repair itself.

Throwing parts at a problem can get expensive quickly. A good diagnosis helps you understand what actually needs to be fixed before spending money on parts you don't need.

That little check-engine light is easy to ignore when the truck or car still seems to be running. The problem that the light is often the vehicle's first warning that something isn't quite right.

Sometimes it's a small repair. Sometimes it's an early warning of something more serious. Either way, finding out what's causing it is better than guessing. If your vehicle is showing a warning light, we're happy to take a look and help figure out what's going.

Cooler mornings are coming, and fall is a good time to get ahead of diesel maintenance. If you've got a diesel truck that works every day, now is a good time to check the cooling system, batteries, fluids, belts and hoses before the weather gets colder.

If you run a diesel truck for work, downtime gets expensive pretty quickly. Keeping up with oil services, cooling systems, brakes, belts, hoses and regular inspections can help catch problems before they turn into a truck sitting in the shop when you need it most.

We work on diesel trucks for contractors, small businesses and lcoal fleets here in the Oregon City and surrounding areas. If your truck makes you money, keeping it maintained is part of keeping the business moving.

One thing we hear pretty often is, "It's a newer vehicle, so I shouldn't have to worry about much yet." Newer vehicles can certainly offer improved reliability, but they still require regular maintenance.

Following the manufacturer's recommended service schedule and paying attention to changes in how your vehicle drives, sounds or feels can go a long way toward preventing unexpected repairs.

Oregon's dry summer driving season won't last forever. Before the fall rain settles in, it's a good idea to make sure your vehicle is ready for wet roads and reduced visibility.

Check your windshield wipers, exterior lights, brakes and washer fluid. It's also a good time to make sure your defroster and heater are working properly. Those are the things you don't want to discover aren't working when you're already sitting in traffic on a rainy Oregon morning.
