Spoon Sports Progressive Springs for Prelude BF1 is now available for pre-order.

Spoon Sports adopted a barrel-shaped spring design. Unlike conventional straight-wound springs, barrel-shaped springs can provide multiple spring rates due to differences in the spring diameter (coil size).

By taking advantage of the characteristics of this shape, Spoon achieved a suspension setup that uses a lower spring rate around the 1G load range—where ride comfort is most important—and a higher spring rate during high-speed cornering.

The spring rates were tested across various conditions, including winding roads and mini circuits, and were set at 4.5 kgf/mm for the front and 5.1 kgf/mm for the rear.

- The front and rear bump rubbers must be trimmed by 20 mm.
- Ride height: FRONT -20mm, REAR -20mm

Spoon Sports S-Tai Sidestep for Civic Type R FL5 is now available for pre-order.

As with the front and rear S-TAI bumpers, extensive real-world testing was conducted to pursue a shape that delivers optimal airflow management. The component is made from FRP.

By controlling the airflow around the front wheel housings, it reduces the amount of air that hits the rear tires directly, thereby reducing drag. In addition, by reducing the amount of air that flows under the vehicle from the sides, the aerodynamic performance of the front bumper and diffuser is maximized, enhancing overall handling stability.

Spoon Sports S-Tai Rear Bumper for Civic Type R FL5 is now available for pre-order.

Like the S-Tai front bumper, a full-bumper design was adopted, and FRP material was used. The product design was made using know-how accumulated through racing activities and advanced CFD analysis.

It was developed through repeatedly on-track testing with a Super Taikyu race car.
The central grille of the bumper suppresses the parachute effect, while the grilles on both sides effectively vent pressure inside the wheelhouse, creating a pressure difference that generates downforce.
