“Tibble Fork Lake in American Fork Canyon near our Utah Hime.”

“I rode my K1600B to SLC Utah on Monday so I’ll have it there when we start our annual group ride on June 12th (8 days and about 3,000 miles including up through parts of Canada). I was planning on 2-days for the ride to Utah but did all 670 miles and 11 hours in one day with 4 quick stops. It was windy, cold once in Utah, and long – but the bike performed great and the new electric jacket worked perfect. Also, even though I am the oldest in the group, I now hold the record for the longest one-day ride (pretty good for 71 years old).

Thanks to Adam for the electric jacket recommendation and to Greg for installing the wiring and servicing my bike.

The June 12th ride will be with 7 guys with all but me living in Utah and of the 7 guys 5 are on BMW’s (a GS, GSA, 2 RT’s and my K1600), one recovering from an injury on a Vanderhall and one on a rental Harley.“
