Stonewall Harley-Davidson has been supporting veterans ever since they acquired the dealership in Orange, Virginia. Part of this support is honoring fallen heroes by placing a wreath at the Culpeper National Cemetery on Memorial Day.
Stonewall HOG Chapter members have demonstrated their support for the effort by es**rting the vehicle carrying the wreath. Today was no exception--despite the inclement weather.
Five chapter members--Michael (Shovel) Dery, John (Longshadow) Grubbs, Walt Megonigal, Joe (Viking) Quoma, and ride leader Larry (8-Ball) Goldstein--were joined by local rider, DJ Hart to es**rt the wreath.
The ceremony was held with occasional rain which only added to the solemnity of the occasion. Two invited speakers--both veterans--shared inspiring stories about a local World War II veteran who is buried in the cemetery.
Though we approach it with a heavy heart for friends who were lost during military service, we enjoy coming together to demonstrate that we will never forget. Thank you Stonewall Harley-Davidson for allowing us to join you in this meaningful tribute.
