Holiday weekend reminder: If you drink and drive, you will get a free ride in one of our Rangeley or Franklin County police cruisers… But it’s not nearly as fun as it sounds. No music, no snacks, and definitely no cute puppies.

Make good choices so we only see you when your battery dies or you hit a pothole the size of a moose. Oh, but lets keep the moose out of it too.

Those of us at Koob’s Garage see more than our share of deer hits every year. When a deer survives a collision, we believe it deserves a real shot at rescue and rehabilitation — not to be put down unless there’s truly no other humane option.

That’s why we’re proud to back Wild Nights — A Night for Wildlife, Rangeley Wild’s 1st Annual Auction, and the effort to build a dedicated wildlife rehab center for Region D and beyond. This area needs a place where injured wildlife can get proper care instead of being written off on the side of the road.

If you care about the wildlife that makes Rangeley what it is, come out, get involved, or consider donating. Helping build this center means giving more animals a fighting chance — and around here, that matters.

As this post circulates again, we at Koob’s Garage want to once more thank the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Rangeley PD, Rangeley Fire & Rescue, and all EMS personnel. Your commitment to keeping our community safe means more than we can say.

With Snodeo excitement building, we’re also asking everyone to slow down and drive with extra care on icy and snowy roads. We all want to enjoy the festivities — and we all want to make it home safely at the end of the day.

Take it easy out there, have fun, look out for one another, and be kind.

Koob’s Garage is grateful for the selfless efforts of our first responders who work diligently to support us at all hours.
