26 years later, Michael is back behind the wheel of his first Mustang and a piece of CPC history is still along for the ride.
Michael bought his 1966 Mustang as a teenager in 1984. During those early years with the car, he came across Harrington Mold in Rancho Cucamonga and met Ray Harrington. Ray sold Michael several parts for his Mustang, including the stainless steel panels under the hood and Monte Carlo bar that are still on the car today.
In 2000, Michael sold the Mustang to help pay for his house. Then, 26 years later, he found the same car for sale and had the opportunity to bring it home again.
After getting his Mustang back, Michael’s search for Harrington Mold eventually led him to California Pony Cars.
For us, that’s what makes this story so special. Decades later, the Mustang is back with its original owner, parts from Ray are still on the road, and Michael has found his way back to us through CPC.
Thank you, Michael, for sharing your Mustang and its history with us. We’re proud to be able to continue a legacy that has been part of Mustangs like yours for decades.
