1987-1988 Ford Thunderbird/Mercury Cougar Rear Quarter Trim Mount Repair Kit.

Everyone knows the plastic original studs break off the quarter trim.

Now..there is an option to repair your trim.

3d printed solid with ASA filament.
They are very strong and will last many years. I designed them with a strong buttress style plastic thread.

Directions:

Just grind down the center post flush with the slots. A dremel is best with a carbide burr.

Place the correct stud in place.
(Its a very snug fit) Make sure they fit like the photos.

Put epoxy or adhesive at the base of the stud...after test fitting. Try not to get any on the threads.

When tightening the nut from inside the trunk..start it by hand then use a 13mm socket....just get it snug, then maybe 1/4 turn more.

Simple as that.

(2 of each style) + 4 nuts.

1983-1986 Ford Thunderbird front Header Panel.

All the mounts are good.

Has a small section that can be easily be repaired on the passenger side but you won't see it after install.

1983-1988 Ford Thunderbird/Mercury Cougar Full Console Repair Kit.

(One of my good customers requested this....so I made it happen)

The tabs on the console are prone to breaking. My repair kit is a heavy duty solution to this.

Made from ASA filament, it can withstand high interior temps.
I also install brass threaded inserts.

All you need to do is grind down the tabs completely flat...then put Epoxy.
Make sure the piece is pushed all the way forward. Wait 1 hour to be safe...then install the bezel, hardware.
