Hey guys! Here’s a few photos of what we’ve been up to lately! Lots of timing chain replacements lately. If you’ve got a vehicle that requires a timing belt remember that it should be changed every 60-100k miles depending on the manufacturer. It’s easy to forget about, but on many vehicles if it breaks it could destroy the engine. If you’re not sure if you need to replace yours feel free to give us a call at Second Chance Automotive and we’ll check it for you for free. It’s better to be safe than sorry! Timing chains usually last for the life of the vehicle, but there are some vehicles that they too need to be changed on, and we can help you with those as well.

Hey gang, here’s a photo dump of what we’ve been up to for the last month or so, along with a few kittens that came wondering in out of the cold. We got all the cars fixed, and we got the kittens new forever homes! Second Chance Automotive/ Second Chance Animal rescue!🤣🤣We can help you too! I think it’s about to get cold, we’ve been having some weird weather lately, it’s been abnormally warm, but I think it’s about to get cold, cold weather kills batteries and puts a strain on your cooling systems, we will check both for free to keep you safe, feel free to call or stop by.

We had a kitten come by yesterday and now she needs a home. Who’s up for taken on a little female kitten? She’s super sweet and very loving. I’m going to take a guess that she’s part bobcat and part domestic cat. She has ear wisps like a bobcat, and short stubby legs. She’s very smart and will make a great pet. She likes nothing more than to curl up in your lap. She’s free to a good home. Please call or stop by to see her. 423-215-9126 for some reason our post are broadcast across the United States. Lately it seems like all we’ve done is head gaskets and timing chains, or complicated electrical issues! Who needs some brakes or normal maintenance? If you’ve got something that needs to be done give us a call. If it’s maintenance or brakes and you mention the key words “give a tech a brake…job!” I’ll personally discount the ticket! 😂😂😂

Lastly, for the folks that turned up at the county meeting over the landfill expansion plan, thanks for sticking up for the community. I think we can all agree we don’t want trash trains rolling into town.

It’s really cold out there! This is the weather that kills batteries and lowers the air pressure in your tires! This is the weather that proper coolant and coolant level really matter! No one wants to be broken down when it’s this cold! Second Chance Automotive will check all these systems for free! We want to take care of our community and customers! Stop in or give us a call, we’ll put your tires at the proper pressure, test your battery to make sure it’s good to go, and check your coolant level and it’s ability to protect your engine in these temperatures! A look back over the last month or two showing what we’ve been up to here at Second Chance Automotive.
Lots of things can happen with your vehicle as it gets colder outside, batteries can die out of nowhere, heaters can stop heating up the inside of the car, and cooling systems can stop properly cooling the engine. If you’re unsure about your battery or cooling systems give us a call and let us check them for you for free. That’s right, free! We do this each year for our community. We want to make sure everyone is safe, and get small problems fixed before they turn into big problems.
