Massive Payout Increase for Swope Construction Co. Mountaineer 100!

Thanks to extra sponsorship from Burkett Nester Race Cars, Level Ground, Inc., Mays Transfer & Contracting, LLC, and Jeffers Excavation and Transportation, this year's Swope Construction Co. Mountaineer 100 on Saturday, October 24th will boast a $16,650 total purse for the Mountain Linked Modifieds with every position from 2nd-20th seeing an increase. The start money is now up an additional $200!

We would have to look at old records from previous promoters to verify, but we think this might be a record total purse for the Mountaineer 100!

You cannot miss this show! General admission is only $20 for ages 13+ and FREE for ages 12 and under. Pit passes are $40 for ages 13+ and FREE for ages 12 and under. Racing will start at 5:00 pm on October 24th.

West Virginia Roar & Soar is this Saturday, October 17th!

Nearly 200 cars are expected to fill the speedway, and you’ll get the chance to walk the same track that once hosted NASCAR Cup Series racing while checking out classic cars, hot rods, muscle cars, trucks and more.

Have a car, truck, or motorcycle you are proud of and want to put on display? Car show registration is only $10 and is from 7:00 am until 9:00 am.

Spectator tickets are $7 for ages 13+ and FREE for ages 12 and under.

Be sure to come plan to spend a fun Saturday with us at the speedway!

You don’t get many chances to walk Ona Speedway with nearly 200 cars, trucks, and motorcycles surrounding you.

The West Virginia Roar & Soar Cruise In & Plane Show returns this Saturday, October 17th from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Ona Speedway near Huntington, WV!

Nearly 200 cars are expected to fill the speedway, and you’ll get the chance to walk the same track that once hosted NASCAR Cup Series racing while checking out classic cars, hot rods, muscle cars, trucks and more.

There’s just something different about seeing the speedway completely filled with cars from one end to the other, and if you’ve never been to Roar & Soar before, this is the year to come see it for yourself. Spectator admission is only $7 for ages 13+ and FREE for ages 12 and under.

Have a car, truck, or motorcycle you are proud of and want to put on display? Car show registration is only $10 and is from 7:00 am until 9:00 am.

Cars will get one lap around Ona Speedway before parking on the track for the show. The first 50 cars, trucks and motorcycles registered will receive a special Roar & Soar dash plaque.

Best Motorcycle
Best 2WD Truck
Best 4x4 Truck

Airplanes are also welcome to fly directly into Ona Airpark with NO registration fee.

Putnam County Bank Trick or Treat Night and Marty Powers Memorial Postponed

ONA, WV-Ona Speedway officials have made the difficult decision to cancel Saturday's October 10th racing program due to rain associated with Hurricane Isaias forecast to move into the area Saturday afternoon and evening.

Speedway officials have been closely monitoring the weather throughout the week and had developed contingency plans to move Saturday's start time earlier in an effort to beat the rain. However, the latest forecasts have consistently shown rain setting in by 5:00 pm Saturday, with some forecasts calling for rain as early as 3:00 pm.

With six divisions of racing and Trick or Treat on the track scheduled, officials determined that even moving the start time to the earliest possible contingency plan of 3:00 pm would not provide a sufficient window to confidently complete the entire program before the rain arrives.

Both the 2nd Annual Marty Powers Memorial race for the Street Stocks and Trick or Treat on the track will be rescheduled. Speedway officials are currently evaluating available options and expect to announce the makeup plans by early next week.

The next scheduled event at Ona Speedway will be the 4th Annual West Virginia Roar & Soar Car & Plane Show on Saturday, October 17th, from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.
