TECH TIP: BREAK IN THAT NEW BELT!

Whether you’re driving a Can-Am or Polaris ATV/UTV, properly breaking in a new CVT belt can make a big difference in performance and belt life.

A proper belt break-in helps:

✅ Seat the belt properly to the clutch sheaves
✅ Reduce excessive heat and glazing
✅ Improve belt grip and performance
✅ Prevent premature belt wear or failure
✅ Extend overall belt life

For the first 30 miles, take it easy. Vary your speed and avoid prolonged full-throttle runs, hard launches, and heavy loads whenever possible. Giving the belt a chance to gradually heat and cool helps establish a good contact surface with the clutch.

🔥 Remember: HEAT is the enemy of a CVT belt!

And if you’re replacing a failed belt, don’t just throw a new one on. Inspect and clean the clutches first. A little extra time now can save you from being stranded on the trail later.
