Miss elle Jet Dragster Miss elle Jet Dragster, designed, built and driven by Mick McCormick this 300mph fire breathing mons Miss elle is a jet dragster in the final stages of testing.

She will make appearances and perform at drag strips, airstrips, and other locations across the United States. Chassis: 285 inch long, dead straight and square TIG welded 4130 chromemoly steel, by John Jacobsen

Body: Lightweight aluminum main body, wings, carbon fiber nose and seat

Powerplant: Pratt & Whitney J-60 and custom afterburner. Various proprietary modifications to the fuel pump, fuel controller, and afterburner manifolds have been made to bring performance to maximum. Fuel: Jet A, diesel, or kerosene

Fuel consumption: 25 gallons of fuel are consumed on each run, consumption peaks when the afterburner is engaged. Averaged, Miss elle will achieve about .008 MPG, or about 40 feet per gallon, or 25 gallons per 1/4 mile. Emissions: FLAMES, 40 feet long at 1200 degrees Fahrenheit

Power: Estimated 8000 lbs. thrust on afterburner

Speed: 300+ MPH

Safety: Redundant, independent backup controls are used for all critical systems: brakes for the rear wheels, parachutes, and fuel flow. In addition, a 'dead man' switch is aboard to stop the car if the driver is injured or incapacitated
