Meet Marsh Wren, Sam's personal sailboat. Yesterday we were asked if Devlin Boat still makes sailboats. The answer is yes. Most customers today ask for power boats. Sam has always had a passion for sailboats and sailing. His son, MacKenzie, is currently the owner of Means of Grace. She is a beautiful 28 foot long deep water sailboat. In short, the passion for sailboat design and building at Devlin Boat remains strong.

The Dunlin 22 was built for a man who explored and worked in the shallows of of the Columbia River and it's tributaries. He needed to move between locations swiftly and Sam designed the Dunlin 22 with a very shallow draft that could do that as well as handle the often difficult open waters of the river. The photos show her seatrails on the first day of her life afloat.
