Paying homage to the chassis that basically made me a VW person. It’s sad when the car you basically started a business around ( mk4 VW and particular ALH/BEW diesels ) are now only as young as 20 years but up to 26 and going on 27 soon. I’m reflecting on how this chassis changed my life and business. Now you hardly see them on the road and I’m working on Mk6 and Mk7 chassis cars daily instead. gone are the days. But this little blue lagoon TDI won’t leave my side like a loyal companion that needs little attention but gives back more than it ever could take. She’s almost like a good old dog. But I can have for ever if I keep her out of the salt. Good Morning y’all.

Little 2019 A4 with shaking engine vibrations. Leaking motor mounts are to blame. Not an easy replacement. And the mounts are not cheap either.

24 years later these two meet again. They are a few thousand VIN numbers apart. But rare to see a pair of B5 S4s in the shop at the same time. Shame how old most of the cars I actually still like are getting to be. Just told someone out west today that there isn’t much around NY anymore older than a 2012 model year and I think it’s fairly accurate.

Down and Dirty with the diesels again today. These three got together and told the gassers to stay out of the way today!! Van had the relay stick and ruin all the glow plugs. Audi needs a DSG flywheel and the Passat has a fried body control module and various other issues due to a reverse polarity battery hookup that lasted over 15 minutes. Woof! 🔥
