Mike’s Pit Stop

So I got a call Saturday around 10am.
A customers father was in a pickle.

The night before he unfortunately had 2 blow outs but had to leave his truck stranded in South River and get to the airport for a trip. He called Mike’s Pit Stop looking for help. He was willing to pay for a tow truck etc but I decided, no…we got this.

We went and found the truck, jacked it up, put on jack stands and brought the wheels back to the shop. Put a note in the window as well.

Between family events this weekend after hours I installed the tires on the wheels and put them back on the truck Sat night so it wouldn’t get towed for looking broken down.

Sunday I got the key from his son and brought the truck back to the shop safe and sound.

Monday morning we fully assessed the truck and what it needed.

2 more tires, alignment, oil change, front brakes and cabin air filter.

Got the go ahead and finished up the truck around lunch time and I said we have to finish this off the right way. We dropped the truck off at his house so it all got handled while he was in Dallas and never had to lift a finger.

I love being able to talk to my customers, not just selling all day long. We talk about what you need and DON’T need.

My first customer of the day came in for an oil change and simply read his sticker wrong. He still had thousands of miles to go. When I let him know he was so grateful and said that’s EXACTLY why he comes to Mike’s. Then my second customer of the day left this awesome review. Love it.

Customer states burning smell from left rear tire. Wheel and tire extremely hot to the touch.

Dropped off Friday night.

Came in early Saturday to assess the damage.

Brake hose collapsed, caliper piston broke into pieces, pads and rotors glazed.

Caught it just in time before more serious damage done.

All fixed and ready to rock the weekend by 11am.

With surveillance cameras everywhere and an easy to use key drop, you can always drop your vehicle off for immediate attention the next morning.

We had a customer this past week hear great things and decided to give us a shot. He then asked can I just handle some other stuff for him as well outside of what we do.

That being said..4 wheel alignment, rotation, rebalance, oil change, NJ state inspection, windshield tint and hood buffing and PPF replacement.

This Audi A8 had the most sensitive steering ever so it was very hard to get it perfect but in the end the final adjustments proved to be perfection

Just got a fantastic follow up text while out with the fam.

“Mike you are an absolute legend of a mechanic! Drove to work today on my usual 100 mile highway commute and was able to get the car to higher speeds to check the wheel, confirming the steering wheel is just perfect. The tint and PPF came out flawless too. Thanks so much again!”

Had a customer call me with a little problem. Her tire kept going flat and it’s the weekend and it’s Spring Break and she needs her car!

Well I could tell from the picture she sent me that it had the “ring of death” and a new tire was needed so I told her to get it right to the shop and I’d handle it asap.

Pulled some strings on a Saturday and went and picked one up from the warehouse while out running errands.

Sunday morning 6:30am at the shop…confirmed the tire was shot, replaced and ready to be picked up at her convenience. Beauty of key drops, online bill pay and good communication!
