The FD RX7 does not have a cabin air filter. The fan blower box pulls fresh air from an opening in the cowl area under the windshield. The openings use the wide grid pattern on the windshield cowl trim to “prevent” large object like leaves from falling into that area under the cowl but smaller debris still manages to get in. We’ve come up with a solution … (1) we have a custom designed cover plate that blocks the wide opening on the LHD/RHD driver side (2) we developed a stainless mesh filter that goes on the two smaller openings at the center of the windshield cowl … all three of these pieces are designed to fit under the cowl trim and the mesh filters can be removed with the cowl trim in place … we may look into something that can serve as a fine particulate filter but that may affect cabin fan speed … stay tuned, more updates coming

Does your LHD FD have a missing or broken shift boot retainer trim? This is our improved reproduction of the OEM part which is no longer available. We revised the part to remove the clips that break on the ring and replaced them with slots that allow you to attach any shift boot with the included zip ties.
