I know how you feel,.Tommy lol.. When i was first starting out I was working over at MacArthir Auto Service helping out Mike and Tom Do (great guys, been knowing them since the early 90s). I would back my Suburban in and slide big box out on to the work bench. Got to be such a hassle, and I started needing more and more stuff as a few months turned into roughly 3.1/2 years so I just bought a whole other set of tools for there. Time passed and I decided It was time to go ahead and try the internet, and the mobile service just blew up. As I dedicate myself to full-time mobile service,.and since the Suburban was already fully equipped this box sat idle at Mike's place. My apprentice started helping out more, taking on bigger jobs but didn't have any tools. With the contribution they were making I figured why not just issue them a full set of tools and see how it goes. Its quite difficult with two mechanics trying to pull from the same box. The toolbox served well at the old.place down on Shields.Turned out to be an even greater asset when we got the nee building. Time passes and seasons change, and you don't bite the hand that feeds you. No longer a good fit the apprentice gets kicked from the nest, going from big fish in a little pond to learnjng what is is to be a little fish in a big ocean. The box been sitting idle again because most techs have thier own tools and I also recently admited to myself that I miss mobile. The guy handling that end has been doing a great job but we get a lot of call for older vehicles and as most know I came working on those very vehicles. Moreover, I don't think there's anybody out there anymore who specializes or really even knows what to do with the other vehicles. So with my new mobile unit and a a repurposed set of old tools, here we go. I can't wait. The new mobile unit (wait till you see this thing! We are super excited!) gonna be so slick you can also expect to start seeing it local car meets!
