These old Mercedes gearboxes are legendary. But 28 years of use takes a toll. Every gear. Every bearing. Every seal.

I could drop in a rebuilt one. Faster. Easier. Cheaper.

But that's not the point.

The point is learning how it works. Understanding the system. Knowing what every part does.
