2015 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T presented with misfires and oil leaks. A comprehensive service was performed, including a full intake valve carbon clean, replacement of intake and fuel injectors, spark plugs, and ignition coils. Additionally, we discovered and addressed oil leaks from the timing cover and oil separator. As a precautionary measure, the variable valve timing solenoid and magnet were replaced during the service. The new timing cover is an upgraded aftermarket aluminum unit designed to prevent warping, unlike the original OEM plastic component. At the customer's request, we also replaced the water pump and thermostat while the intake was disassembled for the carbon cleaning.
