NEWS | Ford is turning software subscriptions into new service, aftermarket opportunities:

Ford now has 1.6 million paid software subscribers, and the company is routing that growth directly through its dealer network.

A $10/month telematics subscription flags a brake issue, schedules the repair, and confirms the part is at the dealer before the customer even calls.

"What you've effectively done is you've taken a $10 ARPU product per month and turned it into hundreds of dollars of aftermarket sales and service opportunities."

Ford is also scaling dealer training on feature activation and autonomy demos, because Aragon says the 'aha moment' can't happen on YouTube.
