Exclusive coverage of StreetTrucks’ “Rocky,” brought to you by your guy Twisted. https://youtu.be/_tHFt-1E_5I
In the first half of the video, we dive deep into a full JL / Garmin audio system install that turns Rocky from just a head-turner into a full sensory experience. Up front, we’re running JL 6.5-inch component speakers in an active setup on a JL RD 900.5, giving the front stage serious clarity, control, and punch. Vocals sit right where they should, instruments are clean and defined, and the entire front soundstage feels tight and intentional.
To round things out, we drop in a JL TW3 subwoofer, giving Rocky the low-end it deserves. Not just boom for the sake of boom, but a solid, musical bass foundation that balances perfectly with the front stage. The result is a well-rounded system that sounds as refined as the truck looks.
And because a ride this nice deserves protection as sharp as its sound, we integrate a Garmin dash camera into the build. It’s clean, seamless, and looks like it came that way from the factory, while quietly watching your back every mile of the way.
After we walk through the audio install, the video shifts gears into something special: a first-hand look at what our 3-dimensional, two-part foam kick panel class brings to the table. We break it down step by step, giving you a sneak peek into our teaching process, how we shape, layer, and refine those kick panels to blend form, function, and finish. It’s not just a quick overview; it’s a real window into the techniques and mindset that go into building custom, professional-grade panels.
If you’ve ever wanted to see what it takes to elevate a truck like Rocky with both sound and craftsmanship and get a taste of what we teach in our classes, this video lays it all out, no fluff, just the real process…
