Real Story | Why did Volvo invite Adam and his family to the Volvo Cars Safety Centre?

Because they wanted them to see something for themselves.

How a real accident from that day was recreated inside a lab.

Engineers used a brand-new and a specially developed **Moose Crash Dummy** to recreate the exact impact Adam experienced on the road.

This wasn’t done for a campaign video.

And it wasn’t to prove how strong the car is.

At Volvo, every real-world accident becomes part of future safety development.

For decades, Volvo has studied real crash data and recreated scenarios that happen in real life, including:

• Moose collisions
• Rollovers
• Offset crashes
• Tree impacts
• Different angles and speeds of impact

Adam’s case is one of them.

Because at Volvo, safety research is not only about passing crash tests.

It’s about making sure the next person in a similar situation gets to go home safely.
