Check out this cute Airstream Caravel 16RB travel trailer which I up fitted with a very capable off grid system!

While probably the smallest RV I have installed a system in, it certainly isn't the smallest system I have installed. The 1000w factory installed inverter was replaced with a Victron MultiPlus-II 2400w unit. The RV was also upgraded to 942AH of Epoch Eco Series lithium batteries.

On the Victron MultiPlus-II I installed a Dual External fan kit to help aid with airflow and to help keep it within its optimal operating temperature. You can order an External Fan kit for your Victron MultiPlus-II at https://faithuljourneysolar.com

No additional solar panels for this RV as roof space is basically non existent. However the factory panels were tied into this new system.

This 2018 Newmar Ventana 4037 received an inverter upgrade to a Victron system that is capable of providing power to the entire coach! The eight AGM batteries were replaced with Epoch Batteries. This alone will provide 3x the usable capacity compared to the AGM batteries.

1200 watts of Rich Solar panels were added to the roof to aid in recharging the batteries during the daylight hours. Additionally, the Faithful Journey Auto Generator Start was added to integrate the Victron system with the onboard Onan Diesel generator.

It was a collaboration effort between myself and RV Roofing Solutions. They did a roof coating on the RV so now the client doesn't have to worry about roof seal maintenance any longer. But before they could do their work I had to get the solar panel brackets up on the roof. Check out the fantastic work they did on the roof!

Wrapped up an install on this 2020 Airstream Interstate 24GT Class B motorhome!

The inverter was upgraded to a Victron Multiplus-II 3000va (2400w) unit and now provides power to the entire coach.

Even though I was limited to using the factory location for batteries, I was still able to increase capacity by switching to lithium. With the original 4x AGM batteries there was 160AH of useable capacity. By using 4x Epoch Batteries 100AH Essential Lithium batteries that increased to 400AH of usable capacity!

Lastly the Auto Gen Start that I build and sell was added to integrate the Victron system with the onboard Onan generator. This adds the ability to start the generator based on state of charge, periodically exercise the generator and also remote start from anywhere.

Did you know that even if you have a travel trailer or 5th wheel you can take advantage of alternator charging from the tow vehicle? I recently installed a Victron Orion XS DC-DC charger on this 2024 GMC 2500 Denali truck and 2023 Keystone Montana 5th wheel.

My client is planning a trip up to Alaska and wanted to expand their off-grid capabilities. With a residential refrigerator onboard the factory supplied 200AH batteries didn't provide enough run time. I upgraded the rig with 942AH of lithium batteries from Epoch Batteries! I also added DC-DC charging via a Victron Orion XS 50amp. Anderson connectors were used to make a quick but strong and reliable connection between the truck and trailer.

5 Star Review from a client that reached out for help with their Victron system while at the Tampa RV SuperShow fairgrounds!

Dual Victron Inverter systems can have their quirks when connected to various shore power connections. This system wasn't programed correctly to handle unique incoming shore power from the fairgrounds.

Thankfully the Victron Cerbo GX provides remote monitoring and support. I was able to log into the system and reprogram the inverters to properly handle the incoming shore power.

All of the full installation I do include the Victron Cerbo GX for this exact reason. I want to be able to support and help my clients after the installation has been completed. So if I don't do your solar installation ask your installer if they provide remote assistance.

Well that is a wrap on the 2026 Tampa RV SuperShow! It was great meeting and talking with SO MANY people over the course of the show.

Ended 2025 with a solar installation on this Thomas bus skoolie build! Client had purchased the bus already converted, but the previous install had all sorts of issues and wasn't working well. I went in and upgraded the entire system and relocated the system to a storage bay. The previously installed 445w solar panels were retained but the solar charge controller was upgraded to a Victron unit. Really neat to see how energy efficient the dual minis splits were. Combined with the massive battery bank I installed the system can run for days!
