The quarter midget family and racing community as a whole are deeply saddened by the passing of Kyle Busch. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched through racing.

Moments like this remind us that racing is more than competition — it’s a family. Kyle’s memory will live on in the hearts of so many throughout the pits, the grandstands, and the racing world.

The Race Director and Assistant Race Director are essential to keeping race day safe, fair, organized, and running efficiently. They work together to manage race procedures, make important calls on the track, make important safety decisions, coordinate officials, and ensure races are conducted consistently for all drivers and families.

The flagger plays one of the most important roles on race day. From the flag stand, the flagger serves as the first line of safety for everyone on the racetrack while also helping ensure races start and restart fairly and correctly!

The first volunteer positions we want to highlight are the tower workers, the lap counter and the scorers. Scoring is one of the BEST ways to learn race day procedures!

As the outdoor season continues, we want to start sharing more information about volunteering and the important roles handlers and family members can take on during race day.

Volunteering is a great way to learn more about race procedures, safety, scoring, and track operations while helping support our racing community. Becoming involved also helps build a stronger understanding of the rules and processes that benefit both you and your driver throughout the season.
