    Anglers from across the region are expected to take part in the 38th Annual Big Bass Tournament Sunday on Bull Shoals Lake. Hosted by the Norfork Lake Bass Club, the tournament will run from 7 a.m.

It is getting the time of year that we have to adjust cables and move the walkway in. We are asking if everyone could please use the parking lot for parking. We need to keep the area around the walkway clear so the tractor can get in. Also, we need room for the ice truck to deliver. We are also asking that you do not park over a cable due to then we would not be able to adjust as needed. We appreciate your understanding.

Just a reminder there is no fishing in the marina. We only do this for protection of our renters, and yourself. There are fuel line, electrical line, and cables in the water.

OAKLAND MARINA CAN DRIVE

THIS YEAR OAKLAND MARINA IS GOING TO DO AN ALUMINUM CAN DRIVE. YOU CAN BRING ALUMINUM CANS (NO BOTTLES OR TRASH PLEASE, ALSO NO GLASS) IN A PLASTIC BAG AND DROP IT IN THE CAGE TRAILOR LOCATED AT THE MARINA. THE MONEY COLLECTED FROM THE CANS WILL GO TOWARDS AN AED DEFIBRILATOR TO KEEP AT THE MARINA.

Today is the day for the fundraiser, Jason has smoked pork butts for pulled pork sandwiches, we also have Italian pasta salad, homemade cole slaw, baked beans and Amy rolled out oodles of homemade noodles for the soup, rolls and Linda Stamphel made cupcakes, we also had others volunteer to make some desserts. We hope to see many of you there. Please remember this is an event to help keep the community center open. There will also be a drawing for a $50.00 gift certificate to Oakland Marina and a $25.00 gift certificate to Beer Bellys, the tickets will be $1.00.
