Big topic I’ve had people ask about: epoxy coating tanks. Coal tar vs (whatever). This should clear it up a bit #954

23 SeaCraft fully rebuilt stringers up. This is probably one of our more extensive projects with almost every surface receiving a faired and painted (or gelcoated) surface. Lots of time and little things: hand made leaning post (made to mimic a Valhalla piece we couldn’t buy), modified Billfish Boatworks console with side door and insulated lounger, every compartment plumbed with fittings and insulated, and every surface coated buy something. Color matched gelcoat in all the hatch interiors and live well/cooler, color matched Tile Clad one the unfinished surfaces like under gunwales, inside leaning post compartments and inside console. Topsides and hull in all Bluetone White . Bottom left in epoxy which will receive barrier coat and antifouling after rigging and such

At On Point Custom Marine, we’re doing more than just trying to refit your old boat. We’re trying to compete with the big league corporate conglomerates who continually pump out trash quality at a premium price. I think everyone is tired of that business model that seems to have plagued every industry by this point. We are an alternative solution! And if you ask how we can do it while corporations cannot, my answer is simple: we are a small business run by hungry individuals, and not ran by greed.

North Florida has probably one of the largest populations of unmolested classic boats. How about this throwback to 1988 and a 21 Paramount

LFG!! Mobile team getting it ready early this morning, moving in between the weather. Section by section, repainting a few areas on this 55 as per the restoration project. Mobile outdoor paint work during the summer months is always full of challenges. Most days I feel like a meteorologist as much as I feel like a shop manager! #545

Most common question in the comments of my posts: “why not get a new boat” hope this answers that. I’m sure the desktop boat building community is ready for this one!

With helping with the replacement of a fuel tank on this 2018 Whaler! As you’ll see, no coating on the tank has led to this failure not even 10years into the boat’s life! More evidence for the ever growing debate of “foamed in tank vs dry cell install” but either method is undoubtedly useless without the most basic thing such as an epoxy coating on the aluminum.
