This is very unfortunate. Illinois Avenue in Oak Ridge is ranked the number one most dangerous road in Tennessee. The unprotected left turn onto Lafayette has to be changed. A “left on green arrow only” would help tremendously. Left arrows at the Dutch Bros and RMS intersections would also help reduce fatal crashes. Please share and speak with local leaders about fixing these issues. This is a state highway, but our local leaders can request a review and discussion.
