ITS THE TIME OF YEAR WHEN VEHICLES WILL START RUNNING HOT!
Alot of people dont realize they can be hurt (scalded) when trying to add coolant or water to a vehicle running hot!!! Please don't ever take the radiator or coolant tank cap off before your vehicle cools down!!!
Jimmy caught a pic of the Volvo and the Step Deck heading out earlier today! Looking good!!!
Doc having a good time lol! Awesome!!!
I would like to take a moment to address alot of negative reviews that have been posted on our page and Google reviews.
Edit: Part of the audio from dispatch is in the comments section. We stopped the recording when personal information was being given.
On April 9th, we were contacted by Trigg County Dispatch to tow a truck from the 8400 block of Roaring Springs Rd. It is on the Trigg/Christian County line. The truck was parked near Little River and as it turns out the owners were doing a float trip and camping along the way. The truck was on private property according to law enforcement, and there were reports of shots fired and people running from the truck. Deputies waited to see if the people would come back to the truck but no one returned. It was then put in for a NOL (next on list) which is a rotation the local wrecker companies are on and take turns. Two trucks/operators were dispatched to tow this truck as it was off road and you do not take heavy trucks off solid ground. It was winched 361 ft. The track was marked and added to our invoicing program.
On Sunday, April 10th, a Deputy called me and informed me we had towed in a truck and all of the peoples wallets, phones, etc. were in the truck. I gave him the ok to give the lady my personal cell phone number. When I spoke to her I told her the office is not open on Sunday but I would drive to Cadiz and let them get their stuff. She told me they were already heading home and asked if we could do it in the morning. I then told her the price, two trucks at $150.00 each and winching is normally $2.00 per foot but I told her that since it was so many feet, I would only charge her $1.00 per foot. That brought their bill to $701.00 with 1 day of storage at $40.00. Storage accrues at $40.00 per calendar day. I waived the second day of storage also.
I was overly accommodating to her and even gave a discount. They showed up at my lot with an attitude to pick the truck up and continued to tell me we shouldn't have towed it which I quickly told them to take it up with the Sheriff's Department.
They decided to go on several Facebook groups, mainly kayak groups and people with whom we have never provided service to began writing negative reviews, and hitting does not recommend. It was implied that we just happen to know the property owner (which to me means they know it wasn't on a state property) or was just driving around and decided to steal their truck and then extort them while lying about everything. I have decided to post the proof here that we were dispatched to tow this truck.
Someone also made a comment about them not being given a receipt. The receipt was given to her when the bill was paid and she has even posted a copy of it. It was emailed to her right on the spot. They claim I copied the registration and drivers license of the owner but that is false. I did attempt to but my printer was out of ink, so I took pictures which were added into our invoicing program which is called Towbook. I even showed them the printer did not come out right when I copied the registration.
Now I will address the payment type being cash. WE DO NOT TAKE CHECKS OR CEDIT OR DEBIT CARDS FOR ANY IMPOUNDS. For one debit/credit card processing is not free. It costs us money to take them. The biggest reason is we have taken payments for impound and had customers dispute credit/debit card charges, and we don't get paid, and they have retained their vehicle. We have taken checks before and had them stop payment on them. We then don't get paid. For that reason we only accept cash on impounds. The customers receipt reflects the cash payment on it.
We provide excellent customer service! Unfortunately, when you tow by request of law enforcement, we are always the bad guys. Here are the pictures that prove that we were dispatched to tow this truck and that we did not steal it.
I am also asking those who posted negative reviews on Facebook and Google to please consider removing the negative posts now that I have provided all the evidence.
I hope this provides some clarity for some of you who have never had any interaction with my company.
A little icy today! It was clean lol becareful if you have to travel!

PLEASE SLOW DOWN AND/OR MOVE OVER FOR ANY EMERGENCY VEHICLE!
Our thoughts and prayers are with Austin's family friends and coworkers!
Earlier this evening, tow truck operator, Austin Gayne, Johnson's Wrecker Service Inc of Florida becomes the 7th emergency responder struck and killed in 2021.
Austin was struck and seriously injured on Monday, February 1, 2021 and has fought the hardest he ever has over the last 26 days. Unfortunately after a setback, Austin was removed from life support this evening and has succumbed to his injuries.
Please keep Austin's family friends and co-workers in your thoughts and prayers.
MATT got a new toy and took a few pics of our Oak Grove lot. Its a little full after the snow and ice last week!
With the snow and ice that hit both our Kentucky and Missouri location in the last week... We would like to remind everyone to please check your tires. A common way to quickly see if your tire tread is to low is to use a penny upside down in between the treads. You typically would want the tread to come to his forehead which is 4/32. You definitely will want to get new tires if it touches the top of his hair or less. While snow and ice are naturally slippery you will still get better traction with good tires. This also becomes an issue when driving in rain or on wet roads. Think of when you skip a rock... if your tire is smooth it will go over the water like a ski... if it has tread the water passes between those treads as you drive. I hope everyone stays safe and please check your tires!
Working the Volvo this AM.
Matt Reese getting it done this am!

We are willing to train but general Automotive knowledge is a must!

We have one light duty and one medium duty truck available at the moment. Possibly a Monday thru Friday wheel lift position but you must NOT be afraid to throw dollies.
