Living on the south shore of Long Island, Captain Joe grew up on the Laura Lee Fleet fishing the Great South Bay and surrounding Ocean waters. The Laura Lee Fleet has been fishing the waters of Great South Bay and Fire Island since 1974. The Laura Lee Fleet started with the Lady Ann and Casey Lee, then the Laura Lee and then adding the new fast Laura Lee Express. Both boats are Coast Guard Inspected and approved with the latest safety, navigation and fish finding equipment. Although both boats have individual rod holders for 94 fisherman; we limit the trips depending on the type of fishing to between 18 and 49 fishermen.

9/29/26 12 PM 🐟🐟🐟 LAURA LEE 🐟🐟🐟. This afternoon was the time we were back on the water since the nor’easter. Water was still a little Murky but we still managed to pick at some shorts with some quality Fluke headed home for dinner. The shorts were shorts while the keepers were keepers. 9/19/26 7:02 AM & 1 PM 🐟 LAURA LEE EXPRESS 🐟. Today we saw an improvement on the bottom fishing grounds. Good to see more and more Porgies working their way into the area with some dinner dishes bending the rods. Sea Bass were chewing as well sending everyone home with dinner. Blues, Fluke and Bonita ( one of the biggest I ever seen ) added to the excitement on both trip’s. Sailing tomorrow at 7:02 am to 12:30 and 1 PM to 5:30 PM.
