AK Race Fab Closes Out 2026 MotoAmerica Season at NJMP With Talent Cup Development Effort and Twins Cup Debut for NEMRR Champion Adam Guyer.
NOTTINGHAM, N.H. – AK Race Fab will close out its 2026 MotoAmerica season this weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park with a diverse rider lineup representing multiple stages of motorcycle road racing development, from international competition and Talent Cup progression to a national-level debut for one of New England’s most accomplished club racers.
Throughout the 2026 season, AK Race Fab fielded a two-rider MotoAmerica Talent Cup effort featuring returning rider Nathan Bettencourt and South Carolina newcomer Rikard Herb.
Bettencourt competed in four MotoAmerica Talent Cup rounds with the team while balancing an ambitious schedule that included Yamaha R3 Cup competition on the world stage and continued participation in NEMRR events at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. His absence from the NJMP season finale comes as he competes this weekend in Cremona, Italy, continuing his progression through Yamaha’s global rider development pathway.
“Nathan has continued to raise the bar for himself this year,” said AK Race Fab owner and crew chief Adam Kells. “Managing a schedule that includes MotoAmerica, NEMRR, and the Yamaha R3 Cup program is no small task. We’re proud of the progress he’s made and excited to see him representing himself, his family, and our program on the international stage.”
While Bettencourt competes overseas, AK Race Fab will continue supporting Talent Cup rider Rikard Herb during the season finale. Hailing from Taylors, South Carolina, Herb entered the year with less than two years of track experience and a clear focus on developing as a MotoAmerica Talent Cup rider.
In addition to competing in Talent Cup, Herb has raced extensively throughout the Southeast with both WERA and ASRA, building experience on a variety of machines while continuing to improve his racecraft. Prior to several MotoAmerica rounds, Herb and AK Race Fab worked together during select club racing weekends, using those events as valuable testing and development opportunities.
Throughout the season, Herb and the AK Race Fab crew have steadily improved pace, consistency, and confidence at the national level.
“Rikard’s growth this year has been impressive,” said Kells. “When you consider that he’s been on track for less than two years, he’s accomplished a tremendous amount. Running WERA and ASRA events while developing in Talent Cup has given him valuable seat time, and we’ve been fortunate to work together at several club weekends that helped prepare us for MotoAmerica competition. Like any development season, we’ve faced challenges along the way, but he’s continued to put in the work every weekend. NJMP is another opportunity to take a step forward and finish the season on a positive note.”
The weekend will also mark a significant milestone for reigning NEMRR Overall Champion Adam Guyer, who will make his MotoAmerica Twins Cup debut aboard an Aprilia RS660 under the AK Race Fab awning.
Guyer is a familiar name throughout New England road racing. The son of multi-time champion Brett Guyer, he was raised in the paddock at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and developed through the NEMRR ranks before emerging as one of the region’s premier racers.
His path to MotoAmerica also carries a unique full-circle story. As a high school student, Guyer began working at Seacoast Sport Cycle, often arriving directly from school to learn the motorcycle business alongside Kells. Today, he serves as a District Manager for KTM North America while continuing to build an impressive racing résumé.
After capturing the 2025 NEMRR Overall Championship, Guyer earned the coveted Number One plate for the 2026 season and remains in contention for another title while campaigning his Aprilia RS660 in lightweight competition and a Seacoast Sport Cycle-built Ducati Streetfighter V2 in heavyweight classes.
“I’m pumped to be under the AKRF tent this weekend at NJMP,” said Guyer. “We’ve had some great success at the club level the last few years, and I’m looking forward to seeing where we stack up in the Twins Cup. A huge thank you to Adam Kells and the whole team for this opportunity, and to Seacoast Sport Cycle for the years of support.”
“Adam’s story is exactly what grassroots racing is all about,” said Kells. “I’ve watched him grow from a kid getting off the school bus and coming into the dealership to learn the business into a champion racer and motorcycle industry professional. He’s earned everything that’s come his way. Having the opportunity to help him make his MotoAmerica Twins Cup debut is something we’re all excited about.”
As the MotoAmerica season concludes at New Jersey Motorsports Park, AK Race Fab’s rider lineup reflects the many paths available within motorcycle road racing. Bettencourt continues his progression onto the international stage, Herb concludes a season dedicated to growth and development in the Talent Cup, and Guyer takes the next step from NEMRR champion to MotoAmerica Twins Cup competitor.
For AK Race Fab, the weekend serves as a reflection of the program’s core mission: supporting racers at every stage of their journey and creating opportunities for talented riders to advance their careers through hard work, preparation, and persistence.
