A very kind and honest review from Laurie Kraynick Thank you fo your business and ongoing support 🙏🙌
Pics from the shop, I haven't seen my baby for 3 weeks, and it might be a while before I see him again, so I'm grateful for these pics.
My friends I just paid his bill, and those of you who own actual antique/classic cars, not the 'hot wheels frankencars' - you are COMPELLED to use mechanics/shops who live and die by your SHOP MANUAL. Whenever is in the shop - its 1970, period. If your mechanic thinks he's smarter than the SHOP MANUAL, you have to find another mechanic/shop. Otherwise the bills will be huge along with your heartache and they'll be never ending. I promise.
Assuming is fixed, and I'll know when I drive it, that won't be for a while but I'm cautiously optimistic, the total bill (multiple shops) to fix his rear end is - THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS. And NONE of it was necessary if my old shop had SIMPLY FOLLOWED THE SHOP MANUAL WHEN THEY REPLACED A $4 PINION SEAL. It's that FU***NG simple my friends. Classic or antique cars HAVE TO BE fixed according to its shop manual, its not negotiable, its etched in stone. Or el$e....
Some great pics including painted gears showing now perfect pinion alignment and no damage other than normal wear, and that isn't bad for 215,000 miles either. And eh who authorized The Boss to sit in the backseat? 😉 Its all good.
spends the weekend inside in CT, Larry White will pick him up (yes he's strong) Monday and take him to Whitehall Auto Restorations, I have to get there with parts too, probably Monday or whenever Larry tells me too.
Today feels like Christmas morning. Bartender?
