Whether you're new to boating, have a teen preparing to operate a personal watercraft, or simply want to refresh your knowledge of Indiana boating laws, this free course is an excellent opportunity to learn from the experts.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources will be offering a Boater Education Course on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Syracuse Community Center. Indiana Conservation Officers will cover essential topics including boating laws, navigation rules, emergency procedures, and safe vessel operation.

Participants who successfully complete the course and exam will receive an official Indiana Boater Education Card.
