Straight from New Jersey — First Drive!!! 🔥
One of the best messages to wake up to this morning was a first drive video from Tim Beltra after wrapping up the coyote swap on his ’83 Foxbody coupe.
What makes this one even cooler is how fast the transformation happened.
On January 4th, 2026, this car was driven into the garage still powered by the original 3.3L inline-6 backed by an automatic transmission.
Fast forward to May 21st, and the Fox rolled back out as a completely different animal — now powered by a Gen 1 Coyote from a 2014 F150, equipped with a Boss intake, JLT cold air, long tube headers, and full rear-exit exhaust.
The automatic transmission was tossed in favor of a proper manual setup using a brand-new Tremec TKX sourced from the experts at Hanlon Racing. www.hanlonmotorsports.com
To make things even better, the tuning process was handled remotely from Florida to New Jersey using an HP Tuners RTD making the startup, drivability, and calibration revisions simple.
This is exactly what these projects are all about — taking a once mild cruiser and turning it into a modernized street machine in just a few short months.
Huge thank you to Tim for trusting All Stock Racing with the calibration work and allowing us to be part of bringing this build to life. We can’t wait to see what’s next for this coupe.
