BigBattery - Warranty & Support Review
We recently ordered 2 BigBattery Husky2 batteries and installed them into Golf Carts. We learned a lot through the process and wanted to share it with you.
Warranty & Support - 1 of the 2 batteries we ordered would not bluetooth connect to our mobile device, which in turn would not allow us to sync the LCD meter with the battery. Synching the LCD meter is a required step for an accurate state of charge, a process most batteries do not require.
We initially called BigBattery on a Tuesday and was able to speak to a customer service representative immediately, which was nice. The customer service rep didn't seem to be able to make resolution decisions or confirm diagnosis, always stating that the engineer would need to confirm. This made the diagnostic and resolution process slow and a little frustrating.
Two days later on Thursday the diagnosis of a failed bluetooth module was confirmed by the engineer. We requested and did not receive tracking information on the replacement part, but it did arrive fairly quickly the next Tuesday.
All in all, the process was a bit frustrating, but BigBattery did live up to their warranty and support claims online. They were able to properly diagnose the issue and send us a replacement part in somewhat of a timely fashion.
I think a DIY customer would have had to send the battery back to have this repair done, which would have added at least another week to the process, possibly more depending on location.
