New drivers, focus on the basics every time you practice: check your mirrors often, leave plenty of following distance, and work on smooth, controlled stops and turns.

Parents, these are great things to watch for when you're practicing with your teen, too! ❤️

RPM Driving School will be closed Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

Labor Day weekend is almost here! 🇺🇸🚗

Holiday weekends often mean more drivers on the road, so whether you’re heading out of town or just driving around Charleston, give yourself a little extra time and stay alert.

Keep an eye out for:
🚗 Heavier traffic — Be patient and leave plenty of space between vehicles.
📱 Distracted drivers — Keep your phone down and stay aware of the cars around you.
🚶 Pedestrians & cyclists — Expect more people out enjoying the long weekend.
🚧 Construction & changing traffic patterns — Watch for lane shifts, reduced speeds, and workers.
🌧️ Changing weather — Slow down and increase your following distance if conditions change.
🚫 Impaired drivers — Stay extra alert, especially during the evening and nighttime hours.

And remember: buckle up, slow down, and never drive impaired.

Seeing flashing lights behind you can be stressful, but staying calm and knowing what to do helps keep everyone safe.

Remember these simple steps:
✔️ Stay calm.
✔️ Signal your intention.
✔️ Move to the right when it's safe.
✔️ Stop if required until the emergency vehicle has passed.

Every second matters when first responders are on their way to help someone in need. By giving them the space they need, you're doing your part to keep our roads safe.
