Yesterday our two worlds of volunteer service with the Holy Cross/North Buena Vista fire department and running Pirates Pit Stop collided.

We want to thank everyone involved, from the bystanders that provided equipment and assistance, the Sherrill, Guttenberg, Holy Cross/NBV Fire/EMS departments, Clayton County Sherriff and Iowa DNR.

It took fast thinking and cooperation for it to end the way it did.

We are sending positive vibes for fast healing and hope to see them back on the water soon.
