Had a dump trailer in the shop tonight with a bent jack. Ended up replacing some steel plating that secures the jack to the trailer. I also welding a gusset in to prevent this kinda thing from happening again. I always try to over build or better engineer my repairs to prevent the failure from happening again .

We got a tree trimmer company’s dump trailer in this weekend with a bent hinge. I can only assume the door was half way open and the dump trailer got dumped which bent the door up. I’ve done a handful of repairs on dump trailers like this. Such as replacing hinges and bending the hinges back straight so the doors open and close properly. I just figured I’d share because it’s a repair we’ve done before (frequently) and a service we are willing to provide.

This one we were able to bend back straight without cutting or welding. So the paint wasn’t damaged which is nice because the trailer is relatively new.
