💉🎨🔥Who do you recommend?** Drop the name of a tattoo artist who could do this meaningful piece justice. I'll travel for the right artist.

STORYTIME...

Last year, my girl Samantha got a large tattoo of the HulkCamino being driven by a feisty little chickadee.

Chickadees were her favorite bird, so she chose one to represent herself. It was such a beautiful tribute to the bond we shared after she came to live with our family while she was still in high school.

People often talk about gaining a wonderful daughter-in-law someday. Sam never felt like a daughter-in-law to me. She was simply my daughter.

For years I've wanted to get the HulkCamino cartoon that's on our T-shirts as a tattoo of my own.

Robin Walker did her thing and added Sam riding in the back.

To represent my son Shelby she also added the battery kill switch he machined for me as a gift. If you know Shelby, you know how fitting that is.

A little HulkCamino trivia: Shelby was the one who gave my '59 El Camino its name. He called it HulkCamino because it's green... and full of power. The name stuck, and so did the memories.

So... what do you think? Should I get this tattoo?

I also want to say thank you. The messages, comments, stories, prayers, hugs, and kindness from all of you have meant more than I can put into words. This community has wrapped its arms around our family during the hardest days of our lives, and we are deeply grateful for every one of you. Your support truly helps carry us forward, one day at a time.

Shelby and Sam... I miss you every single day.

Forecasted Storms won’t stop us from honoring Shelby and Samantha with the most incredible Celebration of Their Lives!
Thanks to the kindness and long term cherished relationship between Shelby, Samantha, and the Pine Haven Farm Family- Pine Haven has graciously opened their doors (off season) to allow us an indoor facility for us to come together tonight.

All the times are the same, just a different address.

Samantha was not only the love of Shelby 's life, she almost instantly became the daughter I never had, and only had for not long enough time.

Every member of our extended family felt the same as I did. She was just one of us, and we were so happy she was ours.

She instantly became a bonus daughter to Robin and a big and little sister to Robin's five kids. She was a big part of our big happy mixed family that we liked to say is "shaken, not stirred." For the first time for either of them, they had siblings... that they had to fight over the monkey bread with, and plenty of partners in mischief and the opponents durring the Holiday Cranberry Wars- where they would sneakly pelt each other in the head with Robin's fresh cranberry table decorations.

She and Shelby never missed a holiday, birthday, graduation, wedding or baby shower with with their new siblings. They were always ready with hugs and giggles when they became the cool "Unco Shebby" and pretty "Aunnie Sam."

She was a unstopable person, and we will never be the same without her.

Thank you for letting me be a bonus dad to you Sami. Thank you for being my daughter.

Please join us in a joint celebration of the lives of our son Shelby and our daughter of the heart Samantha this coming Friday evening, June 19th. Service for Shelby will be on Saturday the 20th. Scroll to the bottom of this link for details on both.
