Starting today at noon through next Tuesday at 8am, tag agencies will not be able to process driver licenses. We will still be testing, but you will either have to go to DPS for your license or wait until Tuesday 2/22 to get your license at a tag agency.

No DPS Appointment…No Problem!

The quickest way to get a permit without an appointment.

1) Complete the classroom portion of Driver Education.

2) Take the Class D license written test at a Technology Center. Appointments can be made on the technology center’s website. Must be 15 1/2.

3) Go to the DPS megacenter with your proof of passing the written test, your driver education contract and all required forms of identification.

Please note: The DPS megacenter does not do testing, but it can process a permit with proof of passing the written test or our driver education certificate of completion.
