After getting the Diablo body mounted on a stable chassis dolly that also supports it internally I've been getting started on the extensive body modifications to bring it to the GTR spec. I found one for sale on Ebay that had a lot of photos that I downloaded and have been studying to get the details right. There are a lot more changes from the earlier VT design than are first apparent. A lot of them are subtle but give the car a sleeker wedge shape. The lines and shapes have contrasts that work to harden the design.

Finally pulled the Diablo kit car out of the snow bank to keep it safe and get started on it. This is someone elses failed project and I will be getting rid of most of the bad work on the frame and body. I will bring the body up to the later GTR spec. and engineer it to have a truly functional, high performance chassis. I've purchassed the plans to a replica Diablo chassis and will use them as a basis.

Had a client come by with a request for this on a helmet, I laughed the whole time I was painting.
